Sherry is named after Antonio Botain, the owner of the vineyard from which the grapes for this fortified wine were harvested. The solera used to age the sherry was founded in 1918. The sherry undergoes two stages of aging: under flor for 5 years and oxidative aging for 10 years. Bottling takes place without filtration.
