Interesting Facts
The grapes are harvested from the 40-year-old vines of the Manduria commune. Primitivo is harvested a little earlier, at the end of August, and the Negroamaro variety remains on the vine until the end of September, and the harvest takes place when the grapes are slightly overripe. This method creates an incredibly powerful, full bodied wine with a high alcohol level. 50% of the wine is aged for 10 months in old American oak barrels
