The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, precise and offers a beautiful fresh mineral frame, suavity, a small straightness as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. This wine expresses notes of black cherry, plum and small notes of ripe red berries associated with touches of violet, rose as well as discreet hints of liquorice and an imprerceptible hint of ripe laurel berries. Tannins are elegant and fine. There are hints of almond and chocolate on the finish (bring a few chews.)
Aroma:
notes of blackberry and wild raspberry combined with small notes of ripe red berries as well as a hing of rose, gray pepper, dicreet hing of blond tobacco and of hazelnut.
Gastronomy:
Red meat (grilled, roasted), game with berry sauce, aged cheeses
Interesting Facts
This wine comes from the vineyards located in the municipalities of Barolo,¶Monforte d’Alba, and Novello: which represents the southwestern part of the¶Barolo production area. This is a Barolo that the family has always produced,¶even in the seventies where separation of single vineyards began to take¶place. This wine expresses the soil characteristics and different¶microclimates that blend well in the this wine.
