The vineyards are located in the north of the village, side by side with another important appellation - Volnay. The soils are Batonian limestone and a large amount of brown rubble. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. Before bottling the wine is aged in oak for 12-15 months
