Interesting Facts
The grapes for Poggio Badiola come from the high-mountain vineyard Le Ripe in the heart of Chianti Classico, surrounding a 10th-century Roman church. The wine largely combines the finesse of the freshest Sangiovese with the structure and smoothness of Merlot. Wine fermentation takes place at a temperature of 26-28 degrees, maceration - for 12-15 days. The wine is aged in American oak barrels for 10 months.
