Interesting Facts

Delightful, juicy, alluring wine "Assisi" Rosso created with the help of the famous winemaker Ricardo Cotarella from a classic mixture of red varieties - Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet, grown in the vineyards around the hills of Assisi in Umbria. The vineyards cover 8 hectares and are located at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The soils of the region are sandy, containing a very porous layer of marine lime-sand deposits. The planting density of vines is 5000 plants per hectare, their average age is 19 years. The grapes are harvested in mid to late September. Each variety is vinified separately. After destabilization, the berries are placed in temperature-controlled vats, where maceration is carried out for 10-15 days with regular pumping and delestage. After malolactic fermentation in steel vats, the wine is aged for several months in French oak barrels, and then another 6 months in bottles.
