Interesting Facts
Charmes-Chambertin is one of the nine Grand Cru vineyards in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. It produces refined wines with floral and berry notes that possess immense aging potential. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Fermentation and maceration take place in temperature-controlled wooden vats over a period of 18–21 days. The wine is aged in oak barrels (40–50% new) for 16–18 months.
