Interesting Facts
Pommard is one of the most famous villages in the Côte de Beaune, producing exclusively red wines. The reddish-brown soil contains large amounts of limestone from the foothills and produces some of Burgundy's most powerful wines. Fermentation and maceration take place in thermoregulated wooden vats for 18–21 days. The wine is aged in oak barrels (20-30% new) for 14-16 months.
