Interesting Facts

Barolo Ravera Bricco Pernice, named after the small hill where partridges build their nests, is the latest wine from Cogno from the Novello vineyard, in the most historic part of Ravera, where an exceptional microclimate gives birth to excellent Barolo. Bricco Pernice is the latest chapter in the story of Maestro Elvio Cogno, which began in La Morra. An expression of all the technical and stylistic prescriptions of the winemaker, the wine fully deserves its place in the “Riserva di Elvio”. The special characteristic of Barolo Ravera Bricco Pernice is its enveloping softness, capable of revealing all the appeal and power of Ravera from the first sip. Aging lasts 30 months in large Slavonian oak barrels (25-30 hl), plus an additional 18 months in bottle.
