Interesting Facts
Concerto wine was born in 1981 as a result of experimentation with new cultivation systems and new blends, including also non-native varieties; the wine was one of the predecessors and also one of the 10 best examples of the "super Tuscan" phenomenon. Fermentation and aging of each variety takes place separately: Sangiovese is aged in tonneau; Cabernet Sauvignon - in French barriques. The final blend is additionally aged in concrete for 4 months before bottling.
