Interesting Facts
The Altura Máxima vineyard is one of the highest in the world (3,111 metres above sea level). The extremely challenging conditions of the unique terroir produce wines of unrivalled intensity and character. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. Cold maceration is followed by fermentation in small stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, adding complexity and structure while maintaining the distinctive characteristics of high-altitude Malbec.
