Interesting Facts
The Sangiovese grapes are harvested from pebbly soils at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The young vines are located in a vineyard with a south-eastern exposure. Fermentation and maceration of the wine take place in steel and last a total of about 20 days. The wine is aged in 700-liter barrels, 2,500-liter oak vats and 2,700-liter "cocciopesto" amphorae for 12 months. After this, the wine is aged in concrete and bottles for another 6 months.
