Interesting Facts
The Beaujolais region, located in the southernmost part of Burgundy, is famous all over the world thanks to Beaujolais Nouveau. However, in addition to the festive Nouveau, Beaujolais is also an excellent terroir and birthplace of the Gamay grape, which reveals itself here more vividly than anywhere else. This part of Burgundy has a warmer climate, and the soils are predominantly granite. This directly affects the characteristics of the wines, here they turn out very berry, rounded, with many nuances unusual for Burgundy. Beaujolais from Albert Bichot is aged in a neutral container for 5-6 months.
