Interesting Facts
Morrelino di Scansano DOCG is located in the south of Tuscany at an altitude of about 250 m above sea level. The climate here is Mediterranean, with plenty of sun. The geology of the wine area is varied. Vineyards cover the slopes of numerous hills with sandy soil in the west and clay-limestone soil in the east. The grapes are handpicked and undergo strict selection both in the vineyard and in the winery. Fermentation takes place in steel, at a temperature of 27-29 degrees. Maceration - for 14-16 days. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
