Interesting Facts
The grapes for Valpolicella Superiore wine are grown in the east of the Valpolicella region, the soils are a mixture of clay and limestone of glacial origin. Steep hills provide optimal light. Hand-harvested grapes, fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures, aged in large Slavonian oak barrels (Botti Grandi) for 12 months and another 6 months in bottles before going on sale.
