Interesting Facts
Amarone is a complex and expensive wine for special occasions. Therefore, the region came up with a lighter version - Valpolicella Ripasso, which winemakers lovingly call Baby Amarone. The pulp remaining after the production of Amarone wine is added to Valpolicella wine, as a result of which fermentation is resumed. After fermentation is complete, the wine is aged for a year in large Slavonian oak barrels.
